QUIT SMOKING TIPS


There are at least five tips that will help you Quit Smoking and Quit for keeps. You have the biggest opportunity of Quitting from Smoke for Good if you will apply these five steps in your life as I did before and it helped me a lot not to attempt again to try even a Puff. I used to smoke cigarettes for almost 9 years of my Life and when my husband told me to quit as he wanted us to have a baby, I followed him gradually as I want to stop smoking then. I admit that smoke cessation is not that simple to do. We need a Quit Smoking Program or Quit Smoking Guide to help us Quit for Good.

These are the five Quit Smoking Tips:

1. Get Ready
* Set a quit date. You have to set your mind that on this day you are gonna starts Smoke Cessation.
* Change your surroundings. Avoid seeing somebody smoking cigarettes, it will encourage you to smoke.
* Keep ALL cigarettes and ashtrays away in your home, car, and place of work.
* Don't let somebody smoke in your home.
* Review your past attempts to stop. Think about what worked and what did not.
* Once you quit, don't smoke — NOT EVEN A PUFF!

2. Get Support and Encouragement from the people around you.
* Tell your family, friends, and co-workers that you are going to quit. Their understanding and support is what you need from this period of time. Ask them not to smoke around you in a simple and respectable way.
* Talk to your health care provider (for example, doctor, dentist, nurse, pharmacist, psychologist, or smoking counselor).
* Get more counseling from the expert. The more counseling you have, the better your chances are of quitting. Smoking Programs are available at any local hospitals and health care centers. Call or visit them immediately.

3. Learn New Skills and Behaviors
* Try to divert yourself from urges to smoke. Talk to someone, go for a walk, or get busy with a work.
* Do something to reduce your stress. Take a hot bath, exercise, or read a book.
* Plan something enjoyable to do every day.
* Drink a lot of water and other fluids, and eat fruits which rich in Vitamin C for anti-oxidants purposes.

4. Get Medication and Use-Apply it correctly
Medications can help you stop smoking and lessen the urge to smoke.
* Ask your health care provider for advice. They could help you fights all the Symptoms of Nicotine Withdrawal in your blood.
* If you are pregnant or trying to become pregnant, nursing, under age 18, smoking fewer than ten cigarettes per day, or have a medical condition, talk to your doctor or other health care provider before taking any medications.

5. Be Prepared for Deterioration or Difficult Situations
Most deteriorations occur within the first three months after quitting. It is normal. Don't be discouraged if you start smoking again. Remember, most people try several times before they finally quit and I also experienced that moment. Be strong enough to fight for that trial months and soon your goal would be reached.
