Quitting Marijuana may seem hard for the smokers but in the reality it is not.

HOW LONG WILL YOU LIVE IF NOT QUITTING SMOKING?

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimated that adult Male smokers lost an average of 13.2 years of Life and Female smokers lost 14.5 years of life because of smoking. It is based on the collected data from 1995 to 1999.

Smokers affected their health in so many ways…damaging every parts of the body which causes many diseases. The diseases are identified as lung cancer, heart attacks, strokes, chronic bronchitis, and emphysema.

So think now how long are you gonna stay with your family or loved ones if not quitting smoking right now.

SYMPTOMS OF NICOTINE - SMOKING WITHDRAWAL

When I started to quit smoking last January 2007, I felt a lot of Discomforts due to Nicotine Withdrawal Symptoms because of this I immediately visit my Doctor to inform her of these Physical and Mental Symptoms which I was experiencing during Smoking Withdrawal. I reported to her the following Nicotine Withdrawal Symptoms so I would know what to expect more and How to manage this Phase of Smoking Cessation.
• Fatigue – I feel exhausted though I’m not doing anything hard.
• Insomnia – I can’t be able to sleep early at night without any reason.
• Anxiety – I feel like I’m so nervous though I am relaxed.
• Depression – I feel like I have a lot of burdens though I haven’t.
• Sweating – I sweat though it is cold around.
• Sore throat / Tonsillitis / Sore tongue or gums
My throat is inflamed though im not eating sweet or something cold like ice cream.
• Craving to smoke – urge to smoke badly.
• Irritable, cranky – I get angry easily.
• Mood Swing
• Headache
• Intestinal Disorder like Constipation, Stomach pain, Cramps
• Cough, Colds
• lack of ability to think / concentrate
• Nausea / Dry lips.

My Doctor has prescribed an appropriate medication for me to relieve some of these discomforts. I then asked my Doctor for how long I would be on this situation? * Once you quit, don't smoke — NOT EVEN A PUFF!

2. Get Support and Encouragement from the people around you.
* Tell your family, friends, and co-workers that you are going to quit. Their understanding and support is what you need from this period of time. Ask them not to smoke around you in a simple and respectable way.
* Talk to your health care provider (for example, doctor, dentist, nurse, pharmacist, psychologist, or smoking counselor).
* Get more counseling from the expert. The more counseling you have, the better your chances are of quitting. Smoking Programs are available at any local hospitals and health care centers. Call or visit them immediately.

3. Learn New Skills and Behaviors
* Try to divert yourself from urges to smoke. Talk to someone, go for a walk, or get busy with a work.
* Do something to reduce your stress. Take a hot bath, exercise, or read a book.
* Plan something enjoyable to do every day.
* Drink a lot of water and other fluids, and eat fruits which rich in Vitamin C for anti-oxidants purposes.

4. Get Medication and Use-Apply it correctly
Medications can help you stop smoking and lessen the urge to smoke.
